waterfall
january the 3rd starts with a drive to pick up the admiral at the farm (pictued below)
this is the cemetery across the street. there's a vet from the great war burried here. Lance and I used to hit golf balls off the top of the hill into the marsh behind it. We also have XC skied through it a few times.
Swastika Sam (s.s.) smokin a fatty
we end up in big san juan's winter hang out. he set up the shed behind his house for some winter chillin and painting
the heater isn't working well, and he only has one respirator, and even a little bit of paint can make a room full of people gag
so we head to tron's for a game of poker. everyone wants to gamble, but i dont have any money. I make the dumb statement that "if i lose i'll owe someone $, and if i win everyone gets their money back". less than an hour later i've knocked out everyone, and I am crowned CHAMP! everyone's happy because they get their money back, and i'm still broke.
Friday night starts at busy T's. here he's posing in front of the house that robert built, he just rents a room here.
then off to Memory Lanes for a show. charlie's here with his doppelganger sitting across the bar from him
synchrocyclotron rocks it hard. here they're playing what i believe is the theme from charles in charge
saturday night starts off nice and easy with dinner at christopher's. he decides to lay low for the night and i bike across town to BMCeasar's in NE
skinny charlie is already there, chillin in the low light and lapping up salsa like a dog deprived of water. We all watch "Get Familiar", a new skate flick by Chris Hall with Donny Barley and the Gonz. Charlie only watches about half and has had enough so he leaves.
Then brendan and I head to Perkins to meet up with Matt and his lady friend. Matt is very photogenic and he buys me 4 eggs (sunnyside UP) to go with the gin and tonic i brought
Back at brendan's we find his brother Shawn half in the bag. He's just gotten back from the deuce deuce and is ready for anything you can throw at him. We tickle the keys a little bit, then i decide to call it a night and head off on my bike. (I'm actually riding one of my brother's bikes right now, it's leaning against the doorway in the picture of chris). the ride is the perfect way to end the night.
