white water

Minnesota winters are so ugly/pretty Here's The Admiral at the casino. Slots are fun. Winning can be fun too, but here we see that playing em can be fun enough A fresh whip................06 'pala. very fresh...........and smooth
all over print hallucinations......wow, is that woody allen on your pin?Friday was Christopher's birthday, and he celebrated it to the fullest. He filled his little apartment with friends and future ofays. (that's an old prison term. it's piglatin for foe)
Things got pretty wild and some of the neighbors complained. But not this guy, he lives above chris, and tonight he's smashed. Christopher was asking him about some noise he had heard a few nights prior. Just minutes after explaining the fights he had with his friends, he was wrestling christopher. Here's a quality takedown, one of many.
After a few bouts they stepped it up a little bit with some fencing. notice christopher's position, very proper indeed, except the sword has fallen from his hand, but he hasn't noticed yet. Any drunk can be an avid sword fighter if you put one in their hand (and they hold onto it).
Lookin a little rejected. The cactus to the left just turned down christopher on his birthday, how sad. Everyone commented on the falic shape of the cactus so maybe the cactus is a strait male, like christopher, and maybe it never wanted to mix it up with him. He did find a female to dance with shortly after, and by the look on his face, it was much more satisfying than the plant.
F i l o i gettin his shit up.
brew crew
It's pretty obvious that it's his birthdaySaturday night, and it's freezing. It's still below zero so BMC and I find a new building to skate.
Here's the view from the rooftop, overlooking Flying Cloud Airport
we had a little bank set up in one of the stairwells. Brendan took quite the slam coming out on the bank, running into the doorframe. which knocked out some of the shims
This was a nice set up. Wallie 180- up the bank and off the fan.
In the last frame you can really tell its bmc
the main lane
Are we taking things a little too far? never. I've seen one of these before that had the word french crossed out, and had Freedom in big letters below it, but this one outdoes it thuroughly. You can see "french" being burned by the statue of liberty's torch. Kind of funny considering that the S.O.L. was made by the french and was a gift to the United States. "Tickle her fancy with the real thing, it's the patriotic thing to do". words to live by I guess.
Wednesday night, and my valentine picks me up in his new whip. Tron in his new 336.
After a little computer avenue practice, we head down to st paul to see the rollergirls volunteet their services by bartending for charity at station 4. Here I am with Lindsey (derbygirl), Ali, tron, bmc, and Gerber.
On the otherside of town i meet up with Brady, Cat, Charlie, and leah. we hit up the greenmill for last call. Afterwords everyone trickles off to sleep, 2 by 2. I'm left thinking to myself about how I never really celebrate valentine's day, and about how I wanted to avoid couples that day, but i ended up with a few, and took the 3rd wheel role. Which was alright, I had fun with everybody, had some drinks, had some laughs. It's a funny holiday, that isn't so much a religious affair, but does have a club style membership thing. Being a member seems easy at times, but seems like a waste at other times. I'll have to get myself a dog so we can spoil eachother next year.
You cant really see it but this Moto Becane has salted rims. It just happens in these Minnesota winters.
The next morning I got up early and went for a run.
and it felt good.

water polo

here we are thursday night at the downtown Buca di Beppo They had very unusual decorations, like this record of Italian standards played on accordian, and some tacky picture of JFK on that fake black felt stuff.
"italians love america"Then on to the Hexagon. They're having 25 bands for 5 minutes each. here's about half of the line-up.
And here's some guy, from some band, playing some song, on his guitar.
The crew was getting saucy and sassy. Conversation wondered from asses to abortions. "You can't douche a baby."
Miss Sonia was there showing her cold weather fashions.
I couldn't stay until the end because I had consumed too many drinks and needed to bike my ass out of there. Around this time I found Daisy the dog,
And Brady the boxer alive and kickin, errrr punching. The champange was nice and cold, which was good, cause I really needed it right then.Of course a late night trip to rainbow was needed. Here charlie hides from the cashier.

On the way home charlie fell into a hole. He lost his wallet in the fall, and over a hundred dollars with it. damn son!
The following Tuesday we were out see the elder connelly do his thing. El Gucci-o poses in all his glory.
there was quite a party on the way to the venue.
Supposedly this was to be Shawn's last show with the Rule, so he wore his spacesuit. Most of the music was not that good at all, but they played a perfect cover of Michael Jackson's Dont stop til you get enough. It brought on a full on dance party in the back of the bar. The band started to play the rap classic White Lines but stopped after the first couple bars, everyone went nuts. The band then decided to start playing shows consisting of only old rap jams. alright! Plus there may be an Ahh Shit Crew B-Boy Posse dance party at the shows.
The next day I had to drop off BMC's hippy snacks at the Hut. Here's the unfinished mural on the heating duct there.
Then to the Carling house. We decided we needed to burn more gunpowder. So Brady and I took apart a couple boxes worth of bullets, he made the Z, and we burned it into the table.
The next night I was lounging with T Mac. Here he shows the cold is avoidable.
We had to go make a stop at some fella's house. When we walked in I noticed he had little silver balls hanging from the ceiling. My first thought was that this guy is crazy and he thinks aliens are trying to bother him, or he thinks his tinfoil shit is gonna stop some radiowaves or something. I never asked him about it, but I think it was just a bad decorating choice.
Small amounts in small packages. Worked for one of em, payed for the other.
Friday night we went to Memory Lanes. Skinny Charlie helped me spot a Snagglepus clone. Same height, same haircut, same chompers, wow!
The first band was just terrible, one of the musicians brought out his whole damn family to see the show. This would have been sort of sad, but the whole family had a ptchouli smell, if you know what I mean.
Then Brother and Sister played. They rocked it really really hard. S-K-A-T-I-N with S-A-T-A-NSaturday and Sunday were just lovely. On the two coldest nights of the year I got to skate in 90 degree heat. BMC and I found this building in the suburbs to skate in. It was about halfway though constuction, so they keep it closed up, heated up, and lit up, all day and all night.
Here's a picture from the rooftop.
These are the stairs up to the roof. There was so much hot air blowing out this doorway, it was INCREDIBLE.
Here's the upper level/balcony of the building. This is where we did most of the skating. There were a lot of wood covered support trusses around. They looked like trees with wires coming out of them.
This is one of the wallrides we built on saturday. After skating for a little while we were dead thirsty from exhaustion and all the sawdust we inhaled. Luckily Santos got dropped off and had a backpack full of slushy PBR's. Both nights we skated for 4 hours. It felt like heaven. This is a crappy little drawing of what our set-up looked like. You probably can't read the chicken scratch but here's what we had. 3 manuel pads (one high, one low and long, and one hidden) a step up/euro gap, a tipped over hand forklift, a wooden parking block, a bank, a few wallrides and a bunch of other little stuff to mess around on. It was perfect.
If you look in the backround you can see football on TV. Charlie had a little party with his co-workers from the liquor store, which meant there was a lot of booze there. Right here Brady shows us that Drunks love the floor. He restled Cat down with him and got her pinned. I couldn't stay for much of the party, cause I had to go skateboarding! (so much better than footbal)
