salt water

The mid-April weather has come, and I have gone.................west, near south dakota somewhere
plants and trees
rivers and fields
corn and an empty farm house. I'll be back with the sun.
You can't always hide out in the country, sometimes you have to take it underground, to a basement party. Griffen isn't afraid to let it all hang out.
Neither is Eric, getting relief in the city.
The weather's heating up so we try our arms at discoing. Bizarro Morrow twirlin on the dance floor.
The Blob's artificial sunset.
I've got the sun now, so I head west again only to find the west is burning.
I thought it was a "controlled burn" but by the time I reached Danube some fire engine crew was blazing through town to fight the blaze that got "out-of-control". this is the Danube creamery

I little further into the middle of nowhere I get a flat. Out of all the places in the middle of nowhere, this was definately somewhere.
So we stopped for a drink on the riverbank. When The tire was finally changed I found that the donut was almost completely flat, so I had to drive to the closest town (which wasn't very close) very slowly. As we rolled past the last few farmers in their fields I got the feeling that they didn't feel that sorry for us. But whats there to feel sorry about. We made it to town, filled the flat, and made it back fine.
Later I found this disfunctional family functioning. But things rarely work out well with some people.
A wax statue at the history museum
It's Friday and we're in St Paul for a little gathering thats part of the S.P.A.C. (stpaulartcrawl). Lindsey is showing some of her hats, coozies, and Flowerbasket hangers (all of which are amazing). Ali's showing some of the crazy aprons that she makes (amazing as well). Sara Paul is also showing some of her pottery and mosaic ceramic pieces (amazing stuff).
Intrigue-o-tron and sara
Britta and matt (two sober kids reppin the fourtwenty stuff)
shocked, or stunned?
yesyesyesyesyesyes............yes..............
no........nononononono....................................no...................
saturday I show up to help matt finish part of the new ramp in his garage.
like a farmer looking over his crop
the fruits of his labor
grindage
the first real bbq for me this year. Squash, carrots, tomatos, mushrooms, and some chicken.
The clouds are back, but it's still nice outside. I'm out to see how gravity holds onto water.
Oh yeah, the earth is round! The admiral and I leave the lakeside and head inside, to some St Boni bars. The first one offers little excitement, except for a curious couple at the bar next to us. One, claiming to have been on "Fear Factor" dares the other to try some of the pickled foods that are in jars behind the bar. They start with the pickled eggs, which seem normal, other than some discoloration. Then they move onto the pickled turkey gizzards. One of takes one bite and puts it down, and the other one, well she ate the whole thing, then ate her friend's, then ordered two more. She was kind enough to break off a piece to let us try. I took a small bite, and vowed never to touch the stuff again. It looks like it's in it's place next to a butt.
The admiral can barely make it home after the second bar fed us free drinks like they were settling a bet. He takes a break partway up the driveway. It didn't really help much, soon after entering his house and realizing he was too drunk to disarm the alarm properly I saw all hell break loose with lots of swearing and a high pitch siren blaring in a normally quiet country home.
Then to the 3rd Lair for the premieres of the newest Roll video and the new Creature video. Brendan and Bollis were already there rippin the mini in twos.
Ahh Shit was rolling deep that night (and left their mark), here's a few posing outside.
Shooting dice is a very regular thing to see at thrid, whether it's on the deck of the bowl or outside in the lot.
Sandbox doing lines,
and Brendan with one last tailslide for the night. The videos were topnotch, and beer was free, and the times were good. Couldn't have asked for anything better. (actually i did ask for one thing. while skating buzzed in the street course the DJ played some quasimoto, so i just had to ask for more madlib, knowing he had to have more{which he did} and it kept everything flowing smoothly)

The hidden pictures are usually the best. In this case, it is.
